And you've got that burned silicon smell (maybe not familiar unless
you're an engineer or elctronic tech...)?  Does it seem like the
processor was the location of the smell?

Either way, if you're anywhere near the suburbs and want a Athlon 1.2MP
to try as a test, I've got a spare you could borrow/buy.  They are
Athlon compatible in single CPU boards.  (And I know what the fried ones
are like, as it's brother died due to a heatsink not being fully
attached while I was doing testing. :) )
