Re: [PLUG] administrivia: PLUG domain names, and donation requests

That is expensive. At Go Daddy, three domain names would only cost $53.70 for two years. That's about 1/2 half of the amount you're paying now.

Why are three domain names required? The only name I have known is phillylinux.org. Just taking the .org address and transferring it to Go Daddy would only cost $7.95 with a one year extension, plus $8.95 for the second year. So, the cost would be reduced to $17.90 for the next two years. That's about 1/5 of the current cost. At that rate, for $100, you could renew the name for over 10 years!

The donation idea could still be used.
