-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Well a UPS won't do you much good, as they generally have uptime measured in minutes, which will be good to not say interrupt a phone call, but it is a worth while consideration that you have no 911 service ~ in the event of an extended power outage. Don't forget either though that even a cell phone without a service contract will get you 911. So just having one laying around charged is a good enough protection for an instance like that. As far as comcast, afaik there is no contract... I don't have one? I thought it was a month to month service? That should keep the cable modem | and VoIP box online, right? | | One thing I don't like is being locked into using Comcast. Does VoIP | work well over Verizon DSL? | ___________________________________________________________________________ | Philadelphia Linux Users Group -- http://www.phillylinux.org | Announcements - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug-announce | General Discussion -- http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug | | | -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.3 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Thunderbird - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFA8F2N3IzKSZsd6+oRAjuIAJ95fHDaADrVvwrDVf54o/d1RMuIWACfYtEz 5PehyGVfAPonc0UZfioZ0ZE= =84DS -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ___________________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group -- http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion -- http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
