Do to their lack of redundant meta-communications modalities, all ListServ
(and email in general) communication should be taken with an implied smiley.

Inotherwords when talking f2f you have body language, hand movements, eye
contact, non-verbal cues, on the phone you have more than email too, so the
brain, often incorrectly, reads between the lines, in email...
