Anyone on this list looking for employment? Anyone know anyone else looking for employment? I am leaving a company and creating an opening for a Sysadmin and would love to find someone qualified to step into my place. Position located in Bucks County, PA (zip: 18940) This is a relatively senior role looking for someone with solid skills and experience. At least 5 years or more. Skills Required: Infrastructure planning experience. Very solid Linux skills. Includes customizing distros, kernel building and debugging, performance optimization, software packaging. Currently the Linux rollout is a mix of customized Fedora and RedHat Enterprise AS. Very good general UNIX skills and experience. There is some Solaris 7/8 about. Advanced networking skills. Includes firewalling (netfilter), subnetting, routing etc. Cisco router experience. Experience with high volume web site management. Includes load balancing (F5 BigIP), Apache2 management and customization. Experience with managing and debugging performance issues with Java application servers. Caucho Resin currently and some Apache/Jserv too. Database admininistration and performance optimization. Large PostgreSQL implementation and some Informix too. Experience with SAN infrastructure. Currently an EMC installation. Experience managing a data center and related infrastructure would be good too. UPS, generator, HVAC etc. The company is in the e-learning industry and has its own datacenter with over 100 Linux servers (mostly Dell) and some Sun Solaris hardware.
