[PLUG] Vote for Linux and OpenOffice pre-installed on Dell computers...

Linux users,

Here's your chance to make a difference.

Vote for Dell to start pre-installing Linux, Open Office, Firefox,
Thunderbird, and other open source software, as an alternative to
only Microsoft Windows, Office, Internet Explorer etc:

You have to register at the site before voting, but it is quick and
easy. To vote for an idea, click the large checkmark, and it will
change from "promote" to "voted". If it already says "voted", try
from home instead of work (see reason below).

Specific items you may want to vote for:

http://www.dellideastorm.com/article/show/62047 (Open Office)
http://www.dellideastorm.com/article/show/62245 (Firefox browser)
http://www.dellideastorm.com/article/show/61743 (No extra software)
http://www.dellideastorm.com/article/show/62651 (More choice)
http://www.dellideastorm.com/article/show/62146 (Option of no Windows)
http://www.dellideastorm.com/article/show/62035 (Option of no OS)
http://www.dellideastorm.com/article/show/62329 (Linux drivers)
http://www.dellideastorm.com/article/show/62290 ("Linux ready" sticker)

Michael Dell is currently pushing to rejuvenate Dell by improving
customer satisfaction. This site was created a week ago to gather
public opinion. Ideas with lots of votes are likely to be adopted.
Now is your chance to be heard. You can:
       - Vote for existing ideas
       - Comment on existing ideas
       - Add your own ideas for others to vote and comment on.

I also found it interesting to browse and see what other ideas people
have submitted and how many votes each idea has.

Does the checkmark already say "voted"?
To prevent "ballot box stuffing", Dell has implemented some checks
on duplicate votes from the same person. It seems to be based at
least partly on IP address. If you already see "voted" under the
checkmark, try voting from home instead of work where IP addresses
outside the firewall may be shared and someone else at the company
may have already cast your vote.
