Since we're discussing Verizon, here is a picture of my Verizon phone line AFTER the Verizon repairman came and "fixed" it. A neighbor's lawn mower had hit an exposed loop of cable that should have been buried. I assumed when they sent someone out that they would repair the wires, and the metallic cable shielding, and the insulation, and properly bury the cable that was lying on the surface of the ground waiting for the next lawnmower. Silly me! Instead, this is how they left it. If you looks closely, you might be able to see where they crimped one pair of the exposed wires and got it to work again. So now it works, but for how long? I'll have to get them back out to fix it again tomorrow. These people are such screwups. The changes I made had nothing at all to do with callerid. ___________________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group -- http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion -- http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
