[PLUG] Kubuntu Gutsy updates broke cifs

Looks like the gutsy updates I did today are preventing me from logging onto KDE. Trying to log into tty3, after a timeout, I am warned that there are cifs permission errors.

I commented out the samba share from /etc/fstab, but no go. I think this is a problem with authenticating to the active directory domain.

Any suggestions, please?
