Perhaps it was because I chose not to enable VMware's in[ft]ernal file sharing stuff. In any event, after installing VMware Tools inside the XP VM, I am able to share the clipboard between the host and guest. I am using a stock Debian samba server with a modified config. The guest is an XP VM with NAT virtual networking. The guest can connect to the samba share which I designated for it on the host. I agree that it would be more efficient to run XP on its own machine, but as far as productivity is concerned, having two machines to do anything which one can do easily is a real "bucket of bits". ___________________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group -- http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion -- http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
