My perspective as another public transportation user: Just as an employer would skim resumes to filter them to a manageable bunch, I as a potential employee would want to skim ads to filter them by various factors, one being how easy it is to get from the closest station/stop to the front step. In the heat of summer. In a downpour. In snow drifts. Are there sidewalks? If the ad says "three blocks from regional rail" then it's in. If it says "convenient to public transportation" then it's in the maybe pile. If it says nothing about public transit and the company's website's directions page does not mention public transit then it goes in the circular filing cabinet.
