I have a 901, dont run eeebuntu- Use default jaunty but start with the CLI only install (note that this is different than server). Download the Jaunty alternate iso, then before you pick install you can hit F4 (or maybe 6, or some other F key, look along the bottom of the screen) and a CLI only install with the desktop kernel, then build it up from scratch to keep a minimalist system, but fully functioning. My 901 is running so great. I'll write up a blog post on what I did if there is sufficient interest, but it's not that interesting. -- --Alex Launi ___________________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group -- http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion -- http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
