JP, > Your emails are not coming though the PLUG list digest... You seem to > be sending HTML-only all of a sudden... See below. OK. Thanks for the heads-up! I had finally come to the conclusion that I was the only person left on earth using non-HTML e-mail. Also, some recipients of my mail had complained that their mail clients defaulted to tiny unreadable fonts for plain text. So, I recently switched Thunderbird to HTML mode. I've now switched it back to plain text for messages sent to the PLUG list, and HTML for everyone else. BTW, I tried following the links to the scrubbed HTML attachments, but the links are dead. Did they expire or something? Or were they always dead? If so, why is the PLUG list configured to delete HTML attachments and then send out dead links to them? Why not send out links to the archived messages at the PLUG Web site? Anyhow, check out my recent messages that you may have missed: - Info about my scripts for incremental backups via find, touch etc. http://lists.netisland.net/archives/plug/plug-2009-12/msg00039.html - Suggestions about processing HTML with sed and with XML parsers. http://lists.netisland.net/archives/plug/plug-2009-12/msg00040.html http://lists.netisland.net/archives/plug/plug-2009-12/msg00041.html - My techniques for managing calendar/todo/contacts/etc as text files. http://lists.netisland.net/archives/plug/plug-2009-11/msg00065.html - Links and info about my recent Cloud Computing talk at PLUG West and my custom slide show software that drives it. http://lists.netisland.net/archives/plug/plug-2009-11/msg00107.html http://lists.netisland.net/archives/plug/plug-2009-11/msg00121.html - Networking and job search resources. http://lists.netisland.net/archives/plug/plug-2009-10/msg00077.html - Keeping a specific command out of your bash history file. http://lists.netisland.net/archives/plug/plug-2009-10/msg00083.html - Info on Unix "live CDs" http://lists.netisland.net/archives/plug/plug-2009-10/msg00142.html - Thoughts on setting up virtual Linux sandboxes for training http://lists.netisland.net/archives/plug/plug-2009-09/msg00294.html http://lists.netisland.net/archives/plug/plug-2009-09/msg00305.html - etc. Looks like those of you using digest mode may be missing out on a lot...
