Re: [PLUG] Need recommendations for USB sound card |
I purchased an M-AUDIO Mobile Pre (http://www.m-audio.com/products/en_us/MobilePre.html) which works so far. My son has not used it for his projects, but I have been using it to digitize vinyl this weekend using Audacity on a System 76 Starling netbook. The only annoyance was a low grade ground loop hum, which I overcome by running the netbook on battery while recording. I wanted to save the music in ogg, but found that Blackberry doesn't play ogg. So for now I am saving in the encumbered mp3 format. I am saving each album side as an Audacity project so that in the future I can export in ogg format when I get a mobile ogg player. My son will probably use LMMS for his activities. -- Bhaskar On Sun, Jan 23, 2011 at 7:07 PM, K.S.
