Secure boot with MS or Google or Apple holding the keys can have benefits compared to not having it at all (assuming you can disable it). However, none of this is nearly as good as allowing the owner of the device control the keys. They could install the MS/Google/Apple public key or accept whatever comes pre-installed, or they could just sign their own updates and know that something isn't sneaking in without their knowledge.
