Ironically, LeRoy seems perfectly fine using Facebook, Google plus and
twitter. The governmentcan quite easily just go to them for all the
information they need.

And even if they won't or can't due to US laws, what makes you think other
countries would not be able to get their hands on the data and make a
deal with the US government to get the data anyway.

In my mind it's not some much as what they can gather, but more about
what they can do with the data. And sadly, they can do a lot because of,
you know, terrorists and the children.
