[PLUG] Big monitors

As I approach the big 50 next year I have begun to notice a more pronounced eye strain even after visiting the optometrist. Since the WFH thing is going to continue for a bit, I figured it is time to invest in a monitor.

I think it will be better on my eyes to increase font sizes across the board, so I want something big. Maybe an ultrawide 21:9 for more real estate. But none of that curved stuff, I don't play video games.

Thought is would also be nice to be able to plug two computers into one monitor (pbp - picture by picture) but they all seems to stink. Clunky resolutions that make you lose your real estate to black borders. Pip is out because I don't want a tiny screen, defeats my primary motive. Can access all my stuff from one computer, but was curious if anyone knows of a good version of this.. would be nice.

Past that all else is subservient to eye strain. If I can find a good monitor that mysteriously solves all eye strain, all other options be damned, save size.

Price wise I'm willing to spend an ok chunk. I can't even remember the last time I purchased a monitor to be honest, so I'm due for a tribute to the monitor gods.

Any words of wisdom? 😁
