[PLUG] Fred's Career Tips page...

Michael (and other PLUG folks),

With my Career Tips mailing list, like all of my 30 or more Tips
mailing lists, I keep a well-organized archive with Table of
Contents, sections, nested sub-sections, etc. of all the tips I
send out.  In fact, I typically create the tip at the page first, and
just mail out a link to it.

You may want to review some of the past tips at my Career Tips
page.  Some good stuff there (he says humbly :-) that may be
helpful to you, or you may want to forward to friends, family,
etc.

Note that some of the tips at that page are fully formed, and
hopefully self-explanatory.  Others are just random thoughts
that I plan to use someday to write that tip.  You'll recognize
those by the embedded lines saying "Coming Soon..."

Also, note the organization of the page. When I first created
my Career Tips mailing list, I didn't want to start sending a
bunch of tips to people about how to quit their job and find a
new one.  Especially not mailing the tips to their current work
address!  I wanted to be informative but not so negative.

So I started with a series of very positive tips about how to
happily stay at your current job.  Keeping your boss happy and
yourself motivated and challenged, and getting good raises.
Then, I went on to topics like how to find a new job if necessary,
tips for making a good impression when you start a new job, etc.
