Speaking of LinkedIn, be sure to get your current and past
co-workers to write LinkedIn recommendations for you.
Here's how to get them to bother:

Would also suggest some sort of "demo/portfolio" site like a personal blog with some projects you're working on or a public Git repo, most recruiters won't ever look at these but it could come in super handy once you make it past the phone screening and talk to the hiring manager.

Yes, excellent idea!  Here are my notes about why and how to
create a GitHub repo instead of just sending out resumes:

And even if you don't have a personal blog or website, or a
GitHub repo, you can get involved in a FOSS (Free and Open
Source Software) project.  It's a great way to gain some
practical experience and "street cred".  And It's easier than
you think.  See:

Linkedin and Dice, I'm not sure which others are still high-quality recruiter pools

Besides those two, Indeed is also pretty decent, I got some good interviews thru there the last time I was out job hunting two years ago although in the end the position I wound up accepting was one I found on Linkedin (where I have also just added Michael as a contact).

If you haven't already, setup a separate mailbox for jobsearch

This is great advice and is something I did last time around. Would also suggest some sort of "demo/portfolio" site like a personal blog with some projects you're working on or a public Git repo, most recruiters won't ever look at these but it could come in super handy once you make it past the phone screening and talk to the hiring manager.

Good luck,

Can you get things into/out of Splunk (Enterprise?)
I get a lot of overtures because I have that and SIEM as keywords; and there is a strong urge to marry that with ML/AI and other automated analysis.

I've had better luck with recruiters and contract-to-hire than direct applications because they really need to test-drive candidates for these critical spots. If you haven't already, setup a separate mailbox for jobsearch; (ie. Linkedin and Dice, I'm not sure which others are still high-quality recruiter pools). You are going to get a lot of low-quality responses from offshore lead-generating recruiters, try to skip those and concentrate on local firms that have good relations with local employers.
