You can't say that's necessarily the case. It all depends on the
audience. I've never heard of this Fringe Festival thing until just
now. But being a computing geek, I know exactly what people are
talking about when they say "fringe", as in, the fringes of
development.
In the end, I don't think it's all that big of a deal if we change the
name or not. The heart of the matter is, does the name currently
deter people who would potentially be good additions to the community?
My personal impression is that lambdas don't scare smart people ;-)
