Re: [Plug] cable modems and IP masquerading

I had the opportunity to speak to a few Bell Atlantic technicians recently
who told me (for what it's worth) that DSL has been targeted only in areas
where cable modems are available. I know this is true with Comcast in Lower
Merion, but cannot vouch for the accuracy of this comment in any other
geographic areas. If this comment is true, you might expect BA to announce
DSL is coming to your area soon...and hopefully mine, since I am in Upper
Merion, also Suburban Cable territory.

If you are like most people in Bucks (I am in Doylestown), you probably
don't have DSL in your area. Bell Atlantic is pushing their ISDN service
with free upgrade to DSL. DSL is still primarily in Philadelphia and
Montgomery counties.
