Literally, the little thingie that spins to cool the processor? Did you try and boot w/o the fan to see if it works?? I don't see how the fan could cause the problem, unless it was drawing too much current from the system...is the fan amperage and voltage identical to the older fan?? If I'm severely mis-interpreting this problem please call me a moron, and clarify for me.
