A friend just asked me about windows cd ripping programs. Of course, I know of none. I am also very confident that Linux's cd ripping capabilities are far superior to anything that windows can do. I think it'd be rather neat to build a single floppy linux distrubtion including cdparanoia, lame, and ripit (cli interface to the 2 that does cdda) -- I think it'd be great for introducing people to linux. Freshmeat has a whole index of single floppy linux distributions at http://freshmeat.net/appindex/console/mini%20distributions.html. I didn't see one for cd ripping. I found a package to automate the building of a single floppy linux distribution: http://get.to/byld/. Do any of you know any more info that might be helpful ? Wanna help me make it happen ? __________________________________________________________________ PGP fingerprint = 03 5B 9B A0 16 33 91 2F A5 77 BC EE 43 71 98 D4 darxus@op.net / http://www.op.net/~darxus Find the next largest prime, be famous: http://www.mersenne.org/prime.htm "There is no spoon." ______________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group - http://plug.nothinbut.net Announcements - http://lists.nothinbut.net/mail/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion - http://lists.nothinbut.net/mail/listinfo/plug
