So go complain to the person originally giving that advice : out. "It's on the Internet, it must be true!" Eek. So, someone gave you bad advice, you blame the software.. It was YOU, who said, "...did NOT work; idiot thing said there were no packages named kde* installed." Sounds to me like you're mad at the software, rather than the person who gave you the bad advice. So, rather than playing the part of the poor helpless user, why not show some initiative and read the man page for rpm? That tells you everything you need to know. This is the problem with America today. People are too busy trying to find someone or something to blame for their problem, rather than either taking responsibility for causing the problem, or in this case, just expending the tiniest bit of effort to find the solution. Don't believe that statement? Another case in point - the half-wits in Florida that can't trace an arrow one-half of an inch to a hole, and punch out the hole. -- Jason Costomiris <>< | Technologist, geek, human. jcostom {at} jasons {dot} org | http://www.jasons.org/ Quidquid latine dictum sit, altum viditur. ______________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group - http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements-http://lists.phillylinux.org/mail/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mail/listinfo/plug
