I ended up putting myself into the "disk" group. (What is a better
way?)
Add yourself to the cdrom group and remove yourself from the disk group
so you can't accidentally write to your hard disk. If your CD-ROM
device doesn't belong to the cdrom group, change its group ownership.
There is no cdrom group listed in /etc/group. So, should I create a
group just for write access to /dev/dvd? (Yeah, that seems to make sense.)
