Re: [PLUG] gnucash crash recovery, anyone?
|
This might help:
Gnucash maintains a continous backup of all of your transactions. All
you need to do is open the latest saved *.xac file and you will have the
latest saved auto backup file.
To help run ls -ltr *.xac on the directory that you have stored the
account in.

My X server crashed, leaving me with an unsaved gnucash file. But it's

That would suck. It's going to be *very* tedious by hand.
Well, like many tedious tasks, it ends up being survivable enough once
you break down and do it. Although I'm still hoping that there would
have been a way. I'll let you all know if I hear back from anyone on
the gnucash list.
Despite the above annoyance, gnucash (1.6.6) has been a very good
replacement for quicken since I switched over earlier this summer.
