Either you drive more recklessly than I, which I sincerely > doubt, or you paid way more for your laptop than I did. :^> I'm going to guess and say "both". the stuff regularly on my passenger seat (cell phone, palm pilot, a couple of files, cigars and related "equipment") rarely stay on the seat and off the floor for an entire trip. I can't tell you how many times my cd player has ended up getting squished under a pedal (which is why I don't use it in the car anymore). As for laptops, I paid close to $4000 for my Toshiba 5100 (used) in 1991, and about $2700 for my Gateway Colorbook in 1994. (both came with very nice leather cases, though ;^)) I've gone the desktop/zip disk/palm pilot route since then. -- _______________________________ Art Alexion Arthur S.
