Here are the points, below, that ring true with me. Additionally <http://www.xulin.net/plug/> feels too 'bubbly'. To give props to Darxus lets just update and make more intuitive what we already have - not break anything. I would love for the list to accept Iman's volunteerism as then at least the site could be up to date content-wise. Design by committee is _not_ gonna work here - at all. We do need it to be obvious to the un-subscribed web viewer that the upcoming meetings page is up to date. Also we need to get presenters lined up. Insofar as trick spoilers, how about a plug-announce message goes out automatically whenever the upcoming meetings page is changed (with a limit of one trigged message every day or something.) It's all about content. To me PLUG is a listserve and to a lesser extent monthly meeting. The webpage is just a doormat to that. --> [mailto:plug-admin@lists.phillylinux.org]On Behalf Of Fred K Ollinger ... --> As most people seem to be happy w/ the website (hence the resistence) I --> think that it's incumbent on those who wish to make changes to prove why --> this is overwhelmingly beneficial. Otherwise, stick to what's there, --> adding to it, instead of pulling a major overhaul. What's the motivation --> behind this overhaul, anyway? I'm lost at why this is such a big deal. --> It's not a rewrite which was called for, but "maintenance".
