Which, as I said, are really valuable tools we simply don't have
right now. They're great, I love them, let's start using them as
soon as possible barring glaring objections. We've got some FAQ
and HowTo stuff up on the existing site (or linked from it, don't
recall); contacting the authors and getting permission (maybe even
help) to slurp their content in would be a Good Idea.

Not a chance. I've only ever dealt with bridging to INN and that was
using majordomo (NetBSD mailing lists). I don't (really) know
Mailman, I don't know PHP, and I don't know your web app. Even more
important, I don't have the time (or, as I've already typed myself
blue in the face about, the interest) to do that.
