I agree with Paul that it is good to (1) be thoughtful about reply formats and (2) not try to coerce others to follow your preferences. This refers to something in an earlier message, not the following, which is quoted here for no good reason. (So don't bother scrolling through it if you don't like scrolling down much.) 1. Good MUAs (and news readers) provide a "skip past quoted material" function.
