Dear Paul: This is just what I need. Unfortunately, this is for an IDE drive, and cdrecord only interfaces to scsi, so I have loaded a scsi driver that converts the IDE to scsi. Maybe I'll try it anyway. There is nothing to loose. I'll let you know. Thank you. sandy On Tue, Jan 20, 2004 at 03:54:46PM -0500, Paul wrote: > Sandy Basickes wrote: > > >Is there any way to turn off the read ahead on the CD? > > > > > > > > Try hdparm. > > > ___________________________________________________________________________ > Philadelphia Linux Users Group -- http://www.phillylinux.org > Announcements - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug-announce > General Discussion -- http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug > ___________________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group -- http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion -- http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
