I'm using exim4 and it's working quite well except that it doesn't understand that username@purple.com is for local delivery. It also doesn't understand that mail to username@`hostname`.purple.com is for local delivery. It gets it write on username@localhost. Any thoughts on what to do? There used to be a file (in exim3) that gave local delivery equivalences. The Debian config used to ask about this, but I don't think it did this time. Or I mis-answered. "dpkg-reconfigure exim4" doesn't do anything that I can see. Here's a sample log entry from sending myself mail from astra to astra (per aspera): 2005-07-26 12:47:42 1DxSai-00014c-PT <= jeff@purple.com H=localhost [127.0.0.1] U=jeff P=smtp S=299 2005-07-26 12:47:42 1DxSai-00014c-PT ** jeff@astra.purple.com: Unrouteable address 2005-07-26 12:47:42 1DxSak-00014l-Ga <= <> R=1DxSai-00014c-PT U=Debian-exim P=local S=1088 2005-07-26 12:47:42 1DxSak-00014l-Ga ** jeff@purple.com: Unrouteable address 2005-07-26 12:47:42 1DxSak-00014l-Ga Frozen (delivery error message) 2005-07-26 12:47:42 1DxSai-00014c-PT Completed -- Jeff Jeff Abrahamson <http://www.purple.com/jeff/> +1 215/837-2287 GPG fingerprint: 1A1A BA95 D082 A558 A276 63C6 16BF 8C4C 0D1D AE4B Attachment:
