(this is why i backup certain configs..such as xorg..before updating. X easily breaks) And this SHOULD NOT be the case. X has been around for how many years and they haven't figured out, between the half dozen iterations of maintainers, how to NOT break a config between updates? Of all my issues I've had when updating, X has broken 50% of the time. The other thing that annoys me is that after all these years X doesn't have a hardware database and can't automagically figure out that I have a 1400x1050 laptop with an external 1280x1024 monitor with a USB keyboard and 2 USB mice then create the appropriate config using the max resolution (not 640x480 VGA). (Yes, I'm odd I mouse right AND left handed. Damn the Carpal Tunnel! Full Speed ahead!) ___________________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group -- http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion -- http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
