Yeah, I made sure they were serious.   They also designed the problem
specifically to give to SysAdmins they were planning to interview.

I also really want the job.  It's located in Berlin.  If I was going
to pay $3000 for a flight & hotel room just to interview somebody, I
would want to make sure they could complete something like this.

It also tells them my level of commitment by completing this, rather
than just saying "screw it, it's not worth the work".
