I typically install Ubuntu-see (renamed "easy peasy", no doubt due to some threat of litigation from canonical). 

Everything works. I can send you my how-to off list if you want it.

The Dell repositories are messed up, as I understand it.  Obviously this
was not a problem but it might be for some.
