Re: [PLUG] How to Design a Great Web Site

I work in security and I see Wordpress hacked all the time, but I don't think it is insecure.  I am pretty platform agnostic.  I think the most secure platform is the one that you keep patched and up to date.  You are opening up a whole new can of worms by running server side scripts.  It is NOT a static website and it is inherently less safe.  That being said, I see Wordpress and Joomla both consistently release patches and fix the published vulnerabilities in a timely manner.  If you want something more "enterprise" go with Drupal.  Heck, several of the guys in our sales department run Drupal sites.  Last time I checked the white house website uses Drupal.

I do not use Wordpress, however I keep my eyes on vulnerabilities and WP is mentioned all the time. If I were to need a platform, I'd certainly check out the others first.

Ymmv, of course.
