I haven't used wrapfigure very often, but there are what appear to be
some good examples at
https://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/LaTeX/Floats,_Figures_and_Captions#Wrapping_text_around_figures
None of their examples have permanently displayed margins after the
figures.
