I think for most people,

they're absolutely entitled to it and most don't know or care about privacy anyway. I'd like a choice.


 the treat model of not being able to find
your car in case you've been injured in an accident is a higher risk
than The Man tracking your car.

otoh, cars were found just fine before they were tracked, as medical care was provided before EHR.
