I assumed the original poster was looking for an open source solution
for handling his work email. It's also quite possible this mandate for
fancy signatures is a mandate that he doesn't have any control
over. That's why, after going over some potential problems, I actually
tried to point him towards some possible solutions.

I'm sure we all have a lot of opinions on the "proper" way to format
email, and I'm also sure we're unlikely to change anyone else's mind
at this point. So unless anyone else has any advice to solve the
original question, maybe we could close this thread and move on to
some other topics?
