That's me ;).

As long as I am in town, it's usually not a problem for me to bring the projector though obviously if someone else can arrange it, I won't complain.

Do we have anyone that has Metricom's fast wireless service yet? It's
only around $80 per month, flat rate, unlimited usage, as far as I know.

That's correct, and that's why I haven't gotten it yet. I want it like the original release out in CA, where you could choose unlimited flat or per-use. I'm not out of my apt/office enough to warrant $80/mo, but when I AM out, I'd love to have it!!

It's been on the Left Coast for several years, and came to Philly only
recently. I've heard it doesn't work very well while in transit, but
otherwise OK.

I used it out here in CA when it first came out, and it's great! The guy who invented and implemented the software protocols is a friend of mine (and now the head networking guy at Apple ;). I've seen it work fine in cars, though never tried it on a train.
