[PLUG] Hard Disk Partitions

I see so many differing opinions on drive partitioning. I guess this is
more of a users preference then an operational thing.

Is there really any reason why one would not just make one big partition
period? I know the argument about /var - but with logging monitors it is
unlikely that would be a problem and I guess you could use quota's to
control other things.

The one partition makes it so much easier to do hard drive backups. You
also always know where stuff is mounted! In one place!

I have been using hard drive backups for years and I did really have to
use it once. All I had to do was swap the drive and I was back up.

Comments?
