You just ran in to the difference between being qualified and actually knowing how. Like most of Corporate America, recruiters work in CYA mode. If a prospect had the "qualifications", it's not their fault if they screw up. Actually knowing how to do something is of no value to the recruiter. Now having a certification, after having gone through the last week I couldn't spell administrator and now I are one course, that is valuable. The secret to survival in this world is to either learn to side step the bullshit or sling it.
