Okay, sorry.  I was the one who was confused.

I was under the (mistaken) impression that you plugged the Ricochet
gadget into a NIC or hub/switch, or a USB port, or a serial port.  My
mistake.

In any case, if anyone would like a transceiver and already has an AUI
cable (or can procure one), I have extras that I can't currently use
without additional hardware.
