| Everybody is entitled to their own opinion about Verizon, just like
| everything else, but let's keep it real. Every multi-vendor setup
| sooner or later requires testing and differential diagnosis to
| determine where the problem lies.
|
| And if Verizon hired a bunch of technicians to go out into the
| field just to replace a cheap piece of loopback hardware, I bet
| you'd be complaining that "no wonder their rates are so high!".
|
| There comes a time in setting up connections where you have to bite
| the bullet and provide some reasonable test facilities IMNERHO.
|
| And if you think MCI (Misguided Children Inc. was their nickname on
| the beltway) is any better, I have a book full of war stories and
| a bridge for sale, both at reduced price.

Not withstanding your arguments, I disagree. As long as Verizon does
not allow a naked dsl line, and insists on a minimum of $14 for
minimum service in addition to any other arrangements you may have,
they should be responsible. After all its their last mile, and if they
insist on charging for whats not needed, they should at a minimum get
off their butts and roll a truck.
