Brett, I may be Interested. I'm starting my own small business consulting thing and I kind of want to get my hands dirty a little bit. What sort of "projects don't you have time for that aren't top priority" do you have in mind? I'm new on the list and I'm just getting back from the Peace Corps, but I'm a linux guy/open source guy by heart. Ironically, I graduated from Drexel and while I'm not a co-op I would recommend them in the future. Its a great program. For us it would be a chance to expand on projects we don't normally have time to work on and aren't top priority, and for the intern it would be an experience/resume builder, but we are going to offer some salary. I just don't know what that is :-) gyoza@comcast.net said: > What's wrong with the idea of temporarily hiring a non-student worker? > I'm sure there are plenty of people who need a job, even if it's > temporary. Some people are only looking to get current experience. I'd hire someone in that position, as long as they understood that it probably wouldn't be leading to a full time position and wouldn't be paying a lot. I also don't want to be left high and dry if the person finds a full time job while working for me. ___________________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group -- http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion -- http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug ___________________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group -- http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion -- http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
