Unison is conceptually a 2-way rsync with smarts, and unlike Dropbox, does *not* use any 3rd party storage (may be a plus for some). http://www.cis.upenn.edu/~bcpierce/unison/ I haven't had cause to use it (or Dropbox, either) since my computing is vastly file-server based. But folks who use it seem to really like it. Disclaimer: I know of this project primarily because the creator is a professor here at Penn. Even if you don't want to use it, it's worth reading the homepage. Its feature set and design paradigm are pretty neat. -Randall ___________________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group -- http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion -- http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
