Dia looks like it might be better, but not quite as simple. Simple is good, for me. :-) Also, Draw.io is packaged and allowed on my $WORK machine, which is a big win there.

I recently got a new work laptop: draw.io is installed on it instead of the old visio. I made my network diagram on it last week. It is serviceable. The file formats are limited though : xml, svg, png , or html.

I have a love-hate relationship with diagramming tools in general. "In 20-30 minutes you too can create a diagram of something you could hand draw in 2 minutes"
