BTW, if there is general interest on bacula I could do a talk.  I've
been using it for a while.  It wouldn't be my first recommendation for
home-scale backup software as it is pretty complex and hard to
bootstrap.  However, if you need to manage backups for a large number
of systems, or especially if you want to back up to tape, then it is a
fairly robust solution.  It is definitely targeted more at bare-metal
servers.
